🚀 Why Absolute Statements Can Improve Conversions
Have you tried this copywriting hack?
Using absolute statements is an easy way for customers to feel more comfortable and trusting of your brand and products.
What are absolute statements?
Absolute statements are sentences or phrases that use definitive language to project confidence. Instead of using wishy-washy words like 'may' or 'likely,' use bold words like 'will,' 'always,' and 'guaranteed.'
Using absolute statements in your copy is a powerful way to inspire confidence and authority.
If customers trust you, they are way more likely to convert.
Customers may feel uneasy during the decision-making process, especially for a new brand or a high-ticket item. By using absolute statements, you can help get rid of their doubts and minimize risk.
Here's an example:
Which one sounds more convincing to you?
The first one sounds more impactful, while the second seems a bit more non-committal (and that if you don't like the product, you'll have to jump through several hoops to get your hassle-free returns).
Using absolute statements can also create a sense of urgency.
As you build out your BFCM campaigns, think about what words you can use to get customers to hit the add to cart button.
Peppering in phrases like 'Limited time offer' or 'only three spots left!' conveys that this is a fast-moving SKU, and they better act quickly before it's gone.
The takeaway?
Indecisive customers need to feel confident about buying your product, so present your product clearly and confidently so it's easy for them to understand the value add. ⭐
Just make sure your claims are truthful so you don't overpromise and lose trust with your audience!

🎯 Shopify’s New Feature Improves Meta Ads Targeting
Shopify just made a huge update that can help improve your Meta Ads targeting.
Pilothouse shares that typically, when creating an existing customer segment on Meta (which includes all of your past purchasers) media buyers will use the Klaviyo integration to auto-update the customer list.
While this Klaviyo integration is easy to set up, it is not a perfect list of all customers. Brands may be missing some past exclusions in your exclusions or retargeting.
The other option has been uploading customer lists from Shopify to your Meta ad account and building out a past purchase list that way.
But this can be time-consuming, and advertisers sometimes forget to update their list.
Thankfully, Shopify has just rolled out a new update that can help ecommerce brands identify more customers on Meta!
This new feature, Existing Customers Audience, will be the new gold standard for creating more accurate exclusions in your ad campaigns and provide you with a larger pool of people to build lookalike audiences. Plus it syncs weekly, so there's no need to export or re-upload anything.
Keep in mind this update is being gradually rolled out to Shopify Plus accounts, so keep your eyes peeled and test it if you see it in your Audiences App.
