🥪 How Goldbelly Uses AI To Improve the User Experience
Goldbelly is a gourmet food gifting site with thousands of SKUs. And we’re willing to bet that Q4 is their busiest season.
To help customers navigate their site, they display a prominent search bar at the top of the fold to simplify product discovery.
Recently, they added a second option to make it easier for customers to find products and get personalized recommendations.
A new AI feature. 👀
Customers can now test out their new AI chatbot, ChatBLT.
Their OpenAI-powered custom chatbot, ChatBLT, is a great way to incorporate AI into their site, and the graphic promises personalized AI recommendations, inviting users to test the new feature.
On the landing page, Goldbelly also added specific prompts at the bottom for customers who need help with a query to guide them in their product discovery.
Prompts like ‘Best Gifts Under $100’ target early-day holiday shoppers, while ‘What are the best birthday cakes on Goldbelly?’ makes it easy for those shopping for a special occasion to find exactly what they are looking for.
Customers can get an answer within seconds, eliminating any frustration or stress around finding the perfect product or gift.
More targeted recommendations = More conversions. 💰
The takeaway?
Adding AI search to a site can help improve the user experience and increase sales.
It’s an innovative feature that gets visitors excited about exploring the site, and brands can analyze their search habits over time to improve their homepage design and site nav.
