Bill Gross, a billionaire investor, has warned that American consumers, who have been supporting the economy by spending their pandemic savings, will likely run out of cash later this year. Gross believes the surge in inflation last year, fueled by public aid, tax cuts, low interest rates, and government cash injections, will eventually dissipate, leading to a drop in consumer spending and potentially causing a recession.
