You responded, we listened. Last week’s Meta custom metrics got a lot of love, so we’re continuing on the Meta reporting train.
If you’re running ads on Meta, you know that Meta reporting can help break down the basics. But did you know that custom breakdowns can be SUPER valuable for getting deep into the data? 🤓
For example, if you want to quickly parse out prospecting and retargeting performance, saving a custom breakdown will help give you the data you’re looking for at a glance like this:
Want to create a custom breakdown of your own? Follow these steps:
1️⃣ Head into ads reporting and open an existing report or create a new one.
2️⃣ On the right hand side, select the breakdowns tab and click “+ Create” to create a new breakdown.
3️⃣ Input the criteria you’d like to break out. This can be at the campaign, ad set, or ad level.
🧰 Handy tip from the Pilothouse team: Meta will show you if there is overlap or remaining ads that aren’t accounted for with the criteria - check naming conventions if this is the case!
4️⃣ Then, save the breakdown. Note: if you’re working with a team, remember to share it with the entire business.
Custom breakdowns can also be useful for reviewing performance for copy angles, landing pages, and audiences.
The Pilothouse Meta team recommends trying these custom breakdowns the next time you review campaign performance!
