🏆 Spotlighting Award Winning Tactics
Award shows are a big opportunity you don't want to miss out on.
Social media users are paying close attention to big events like the Golden Globes, Grammys, and Oscars, to name a few, and brands have an opportunity to tap into this interest and increase brand awareness in a fun and cheeky way.
Here are some ideas to get you started:
Partner with Nominees: Brands like Phlur teased a new perfume, Golden Standard, right before the Golden Globes and partnered with celebrities before the official launch.
Actress and nominee Rachel Brosnahan wore the new fragrance on the red carpet, giving the fragrance brand additional exposure and PR mentions.
But even brands with a smaller budget can show up and get their time to shine in the spotlight.
Host a contest or join in online debates over the best and worst looks of the night. 👇
Talk Fashion: The red carpet is a big aspect of award shows, and beverage brand Lemon Perfect used the Grammys as an opportunity to showcase different flavors of its lemon water on Instagram.
Leverage Memes: This is an easy way to join award show discussions and create engagement while showing off your brand’s sense of humor.
Supplement brand Hilma posted a series of relatable memes featuring some of the night's biggest stars.
The takeaway?
Big and small brands have a chance to leverage award show buzz to market their products and demonstrate cultural relevance.
It's cost-effective, and there are endless opportunities throughout the night to engage with followers on social media and win over new customers.
📈 Amazon Sales Climb Despite ‘Economic Blackout’ Boycott
Amazon saw a lift in sales last week despite the push for an ‘economic blackout’ targeting major retailers on Feb 28th.
The ecommerce giant’s transactions rose 1% compared to past Friday sales, suggesting the consumer boycott had a limited impact.
However, more boycotts are planned later this year.

🎧 The Future of Ecommerce Growth: Profitability, Product Expansion & Smarter Ad Spend with Taylor Holiday
Today, we’re talking with Taylor Holiday, Managing Partner at Common Thread Collective (CTC)—one of the leading agencies in ecommerce growth.
CTC rode the wave of ecommerce’s explosive growth, scaling from 60 to nearly 200 employees during COVID.
But as market conditions changed, so did their approach.
Taylor shares how ecommerce brands must pivot from chasing revenue to focusing on profitability and sustainable growth.
In this podcast, we cover:
✅ Why Service Businesses Are Underrated: Agencies can be more profitable than SaaS and DTC brands with the right model.
✅ The Secret to Scaling Agencies: Focus on fewer employees, higher salaries, and keeping the best people doing the most valuable work.
✅ The Right Way to Spend on Ads: Many brands are overspending inefficiently—start by cutting waste, then rebuild smarter.
✅ Why Product Expansion Is Key: Growth isn’t about selling more of the same product. It’s about launching new ones to unlock fresh demand.
✅ Meta Ads in 2025: Advantage Plus is the future—let Meta’s AI do the work but control the outcome through bid caps.
✅ AI in Agencies: CTC uses AI for internal knowledge sharing, customer service automation, and creative strategy.
